As Mother’s Day is approaching, I started reflecting on what being a mother really means to me. And what does it take to be a mom? And do you have to have a child to be a mom?
I believe that we are all mothers. (Yes, even the guys!)
Let’s get in to it in today’s video:
I have been a step-mom, birthed a child and am now raising my grandson.
But I have also birthed a business, birthed a clinic, and been a mom to many four-legged, furry “kids”.
If you feel “left out” of these parenting holidays, I invite you to honor yourself.
Because we all have a mother part inside of us.
Leave a comment below and let me know your definition of motherhood. And let me know if you have been honoring your inner mother.
Can’t wait to hear from you!

This is a great video! I am a Mom, and I miss my mother and my step-mother, now that they are both gone, it feels very lonely and empty without them… I’m sorry for your loss, Karen.
I tend to mother myself by treating myself to whatever I feel like for the day, without guilt. I also believe that we need to do this more often, not just Mother’s day! Just good old “ME” day!
Hugs! Phyllis

Thank you, Phyllis.

This Mother’s Day I am honoring my mother in memory. I am honoring my daughter as a great mother to my grandchildren. Her caring and patience is unbelievable. I am also honoring my son-in-law’s mother for her love of my daughter and grandchildren. I am honoring myself as an adopted mother to Lisa. I’ve learned to be a good listener and accepting person with all my family. Lisa taught me not to be judgmental. I may have learned this from my mother.
Karen – to change things a bit–I have a tumor on my right kidney, I learned Weds. I will have this kidney removed May 25. 80% to 90% are usually cancer. My other kidney looks good. The Drs. looking at the cat scan do not think it has spread. I think that is good news! I would like to have a session in person or a telephone visit when you are able.
Also, I would like to extend my sympathy in the loss of your mother. We can talk about that, too. You were a wonderful caring daughter. Hope you are walking without pain now. Let me know when we could meet or telephone talk. Jan Enger
