It’s Labor Day 2016!
Do you know why we celebrate this holiday?
Labor Day is a creation of the labor movement. It is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers.
It is a yearly tribute that we pay to the strength, prosperity and wellbeing of our country.
Here’s how I would encourage you to celebrate this holiday:
I encourage you to have an attitude of gratitude and thank every single decade of workers that have contributed to the foundation of prosperity in our country.
We should thank and celebrate their contributions.
But it’s also a day to celebrate yourself, and your labors. To be grateful for…
- a roof over your head
- food on the table
- the wellbeing of our family
- our labors of love and contribution
Because when we contribute at home, we contribute to our country.
And when we contribute to the country, we contribute to the world.
