So it’s the beginning of summer season!
While some are rejoicing in the warm weather and spending time at the pool, others of us are dreading the arrival of swimsuit season.
With shorts and tanks out at the stores, and all the detoxes promising instant weight loss, it’s really tempting this time of year to be extra critical to your body.
So in today’s video, I’m going to reveal the difference between Body Image and Self-Image, and why they are definitely not the same thing.
If you’re thinking about the swimsuit, that’s one thing.
But if you feel like you have to look a certain way in order to feel a certain way then I encourage you to remember…
Body image doesn’t define who you think you are and how much you think you are worth.
Througout all of our lives we will gain weight and lose weight. We’ll have short hair and long hair. Some of us even lose parts of our bodies due to accidents or injuries.
We are all equal no matter what shape or size we come in.
Who are you separate from your body?
Everything is worthy about you – not just your body. So it’s important that we learn to separate the two images.
Are you stuck in a cycle where your body image defines who you are? Start to reevaluate your self-image with this simple exercise:
Write down 10 things (or more!) you love about yourself that have nothing to do with your body or how you look.
If you’re open to it, I’d love for you to share your list in the comments below. Otherwise, please leave a comment and let me know how you feel after writing these things about yourself down? How does it change your self-image?
I can’t wait to hear from you!

I found I could go In deeper to what I love about me and how I really feel about who I am as a person-
Love of children, family time, singing, playing card games with my folks, making people laugh, thinking on how to create better systems, ability to put folks at ease, teaching kids kindness, listening , reading children’s books, making funny voices, love of candles and homemade gifts, how I Love my friends, how I try to include others, how I do n’t discriminate, how I correct my mistakes, how I’m scared at times, my fierceness , my tenacity and loyalty
