So what exactly does it mean to be your own hero?
It’s really about taking action in your life. It means taking steps and practicing.
And there are 5 things I like to teach my clients on their journey to get them to become their own hero.
And in today’s video I’m sharing those 5 steps with you.
1. Are you listening to your inner critic or your inner guide?
One thing I am passionate about helping people with is shifting their inner critic to their inner guide.
But first, you have to recognize the difference. And then find out which one you list to more often.
2. What lens are you looking through?
We all approach different situations based on past experiences or “what if” scenarios.
Before you react, stop and ask what lens you’re looking through. Are you looking at it through fear? Or through love?
3. Are you connecting to your heart?
When you commit to doing something, are you doing it with passion? Is it coming from your heart?
Try and think of a time where you were completely full of passion and connect to that memory. And try to connect to your life from that place, every day.
4. Are you holding on to something that is holding you back.
If you’re constantly falling short of your goals, take a hard look at what might be holding you back.
Is it a person? A feeling? A limiting belief?
Narrow it down, and decide if you’re ready to let go of it to get where you want to go.
5. Are you standing your ground?
Standing your ground is all about putting yourself first. To make sure that everything you’re doing is serving you, and your needs, before the needs of others.
I know these questions can be tough.
And you don’t have to have all the answers now.
But I encourage you to stop and take a moment every day, or in every difficult situation that comes up, and ask these questions of yourself.
And then stop and listen to the true answers that your body, heart and mind will give you.
To make this super easy for you, I’ve created a desktop screensaver of the 5 action steps, so you can set this as a reminder for every time you look at your computer or laptop.
